Author: Ms. Aruna Devi and Dr. P. Vijayalakshmi
Abstract:

Sustainability has become a critical focus for textile industries amid growing demand for eco-friendly products, yet there is limited empirical research on its direct impact on organizational excellence. While prominent textile companies in Southern Tamil Nadu have adopted the farm-to-fiber approach and implemented sustainable practices, the impact of these initiatives on operational efficiency, employee satisfaction, brand reputation, and long-term success remains underexplored. Understanding this relationship is vital for refining sustainability strategies, enhancing organizational excellence, and guiding industry-wide adoption of best sustainability practices, which merits this research study. A convenience sample of 134 employees from lifestyle apparel manufacturers in Southern Tamil Nadu was examined, revealing that sustainability practices play a pivotal role in driving organizational excellence. This study employs the 3Ps framework (People, Planet, and Profit) to propose tailored strategies for enhancing sustainable manufacturing and promoting organizational excellence.

Title: HARMONIZATION OF INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARDS (IFRS) ACCOUNTING SYSTEM AND APPLICATION THROUGHOUT THE GLOBAL EDUCATION
Author: Dr. Ankamreddi Rama Mohan and Mrs. Madhuri Sanjay Tambe
Abstract:

The objective of this paper attempts to explain whether the introduction of IFRS accounting system at global level will eliminates the currency risk, price risk and interest risk. The primary data has been collected through the structured questionnaire from the 150 respondents. The secondary data obtained from the existing literature and review. The SPSS 16.0 version was used to interpret and analyze the data. The percentage and chi-square tests applied to derive the results. The study found that the single set of accounting standards through the IFRS eliminates currency exchange risk, interest rate risk and price risk. Hence, it is suggested that there should be a single set of accounting standards for all the countries within a globe through the IFRS to eliminate the different nature of risks.

ASSESSING THE IMPACT OF DAILY FUEL PRICE FLUCTUATIONS ON PETROL PUMP OWNERS’ PERCEPTIONS IN MALAPPURAM DISTRICT

Title: ASSESSING THE IMPACT OF DAILY FUEL PRICE FLUCTUATIONS ON PETROL PUMP OWNERS’ PERCEPTIONS IN MALAPPURAM DISTRICT
Author: Noor Suhairiya Pazhaya Puthen Veettil
Abstract:

The deregulation of petroleum prices in India has introduced daily fuel price variations, aligning with international market changes. This study investigates the perceptions of petrol pump owners towards daily fuel price fluctuations in Malappuram District, exploring the implications of this policy on pump operations and customer behaviour. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining primary and secondary data from 50 petrol pump operators. The results reveal a significant negative relationship between daily price variations and customer numbers, indicating that increased price fluctuations lead to decreased customer purchases. Petrol pump owners face challenges in managing daily price changes, affecting their cash flow, inventory, and profitability. The study suggests implementing fuel price optimization strategies, improving customer communication, and exploring government support options to mitigate these challenges. This research contributes to the existing literature on petroleum price deregulation and provides insights for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and future researchers.

Author: Ana LAZAROVSKA, Osman LINDOV and Verica DANCEVSKA
Abstract:

This research aims to enhance airport infrastructure development in Croatia by focusing on the establishment of a training and school airport near Šibenik, integrating modern design principles and addressing functional needs to support aviation education and training while promoting regional economic growth. This chapter focuses on the theoretical characteristics of project management throughout the project cycle, emphasizing their relevance to the sustainable development of airport infrastructure within the context of transport economics. The case study of an airport near Sibenik serves as a critical foundation for proposing a universal model that integrates airport infrastructure, project management, and metrological steps for integration. Key elements such as legal frameworks governing air transport development are evaluated to ensure the model’s applicability and effectiveness within the Croatian air transport system, demonstrating its potential as a viable approach for enhancing sustainable airport operations.

Title: ECONOMIC VIEW FOR THE BIRTH OF AERODROME IN THE VINCINITY OF SIBENIK CITY
Author: Ana Lazarovska Ph. D, Prof. Dr. SC. Verica Dancevska and prof. Dr. SC. Violeta Manevska
Abstract:

Conducting an economic analysis and assessment for the establishment of an aerodrome near šibenik requires evaluating various factors, including regional demand for air travel, potential economic impact on local tourism and commerce, accessibility to transportation networks, and environmental considerations. A cost-benefit analysis should assess initial infrastructure investments versus long-term economic growth, job creation, and increased connectivity for business and leisure travelers. Additionally, examining competitive advantages over existing airports, potential partnerships with local government, and stakeholder engagement is crucial. Ultimately, a well-rounded feasibility study will inform decision-making and drive strategic planning for the aerodrome’s successful integration into the šibenik region.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AIR TRAFFIC EVALUATION ACCORDING OF ANA LAZAROVSKA`S CODEX OF THE SUSTAINABLE AERODROME DEVELOPMENT

Title: SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AIR TRAFFIC EVALUATION ACCORDING OF ANA LAZAROVSKA`S CODEX OF THE SUSTAINABLE AERODROME DEVELOPMENT
Author: Ana LAZAROVSKA, Osman LINDOV and Verica DANCEVSKA
Abstract:

Sustainable development is a crucial concept that emphasizes the need for growth that meets present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own, integrating societal, economic, and political dimensions. The importance of this approach is underscored by the need for environmental valuation and assessment, particularly in sectors like air traffic, where infrastructure development can significantly impact sustainability. Existing literature in transport economics, especially concerning optimal airport infrastructure development, is limited, highlighting the necessity for comprehensive research in this area. This doctoral dissertation aims to fill this gap by exploring sustainable practices and innovative models that can guide the development of air traffic infrastructure within the framework of sustainable development principles.

PRADHAN MANTRI JAN DHAN YOJANA – A REVIEW OF REVOLUTIONARY FINANCIAL INCLUSION PROGRAM IN RAJASTHAN

Title: PRADHAN MANTRI JAN DHAN YOJANA – A REVIEW OF REVOLUTIONARY FINANCIAL INCLUSION PROGRAM IN RAJASTHAN
Author: Prof. (Dr.) S. B. Yadav
Abstract:

The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) was launched as a national mission in August 2014 with the aims to connect every household of the country with the banking system. It was observed that after more than 67 years of independence, a large section of unprivileged and marginalised sections of society in India was not connected to formal banking. These households have no bank account in any of the bank. Therefore, the Government of India initiated this scheme to bring those households in the orbit of PMJDY who were out of purview of banking system. The main objective of PMJDY is to help citizens to receive banking services such as deposits and savings, credit, pension and insurance, ATMs services at a reasonable cost in their respective area. It was also aimed to make these sections economically empowered through banking system by opening new bank account for financial inclusion.
This study examines the progress and impact in Rajasthan along with main provisions and benefit of PMJDY. Banking literacy, financial inclusion and economic empowerment have been key indicators for impact assessment of the beneficiaries from PMJDY have also been evaluated in the study.

REVIVING INDIAN TRADITIONAL CRAFTS THROUGH E-COMMERCE AND GLOBAL TRADE

Title: REVIVING INDIAN TRADITIONAL CRAFTS THROUGH E-COMMERCE AND GLOBAL TRADE
Author: Debashis Neog
Abstract:

In consequence, the idea of resurrecting the Indian traditional handicraft through e-commerce and global circuits has revolutionized the handicraft industry and secured business viability for artisans. Handmade traditions of Indian fabrics, pottery, metals and woods formed a strong history which has had problems like falling customers, an influx of the industrial and machinery products and shrinking number of artisans. However, recent mega online markets such as Amazon, Etsy, E-tails, and exclusive Indian sites, etc., are helping small artisan groups to straight away through their products to the international markets without involving several middlemen and retrieving actual prices a bit. Schemes like Make in India, Vocal for Local, and One District One Product (ODOP) are helping to teach local artefacts to the world. Increasingly, traditional marketing approaches are complemented with social media and modern techniques help bring particular attention to artisans and their creations. However, illustrating these opportunities, digital literacy, logistic issues, control over product quality, and fair-trade practices still pose a huge problem. Drawing from the case of e-commerce, trade policies and interventionist measures in this paper, the author looks at how the artistry can have a sustainable environment in Tanzania. This exposes the weakness in skill development, fund and infrastructure for handcrafted product industries in India for a sustainable future in the IT enhanced global market.
