Abstract:

There has been a global uproar recently as local authority service delivery has fallen short of ratepayer expectations, despite the fact that local authority performance, particularly service delivery, is seen as a major motivator of nations towards global sustainability and competitiveness. The current study was therefore founded on the requirement to reduce the gap between ratepayers’ expectations and the performance of the corresponding local authorities in Zimbabwe. For this investigation, we used the search engines Scopus, Google Scholar, and Web of Science (WoS). The review took into account empirical studies up until June 2022. Because the emphasis was on the performance of local governments, the initial search used variants of the terms ‘efficiency,’ ‘performance assessment,’ ‘local government,’ and ‘local authority.’ The databases produced more than 250 books, articles, and unpublished research papers when these keywords were used. We disregarded conference presentations and dissertations to reduce the overall number of results. The results were then qualitatively screened to make sure they answered the research topic. We ultimately collected 78 studies. The review provides a contextualized view of earlier research in discourses, techniques, and frameworks that draw attention to the difficulties local authorities have in performing their functions, with a focus on service delivery and strategic growth toward sustainable futures. As we go on with our empirical inquiry, the systematic review technique has been a helpful organised way to provide a preliminary source of knowledge in local authority performance assessment and more generally. Future research has a number of prospective directions that have been identified.

Abstract:

The study looked at the organizational commitment and personality of workers in chemical and pharmaceutical companies. In this study, organizational commitment in the forms of normative, continual, and affective commitment was used to gauge an organization’s practical personality traits. Three hypotheses were developed to investigate the association and a research question was posed using the individual employees as the unit of study. According to Krejcie and Morgan’s sample size calculation, the study’s sample size was one hundred and forty-eight employees, which is the same size as the population of two hundred forty-three. The analysis’s findings demonstrated that there is a considerable and advantageous impact on the types of commitment. The study suggests that participation and objectivity in the functioning and management of the organizational personality can increase commitment and make the difference between an organization’s success and failure.

The demand for flowers is continuously increasing. So, this research study, it has tried to find the importance of Indian flowers worldwide. The purpose of this research study is to analyse the export performance of Indian floriculture from April 2016- March 2022. This research study is based on secondary data. Data is collected from Agricultural and Processed Food Product Export Development, National Horticulture Board, etc. other various official websites.  All the information has also been collected from various official reports and different newspapers, articles, etc. In this study, the production area of floriculture and the export status of floriculture in India from April 2016- March 2022 has discussed. It is found that the export of floriculture is now increasing in post covid period. Many countries import high quantities of flowers from India. The government of India is continuously launching various schemes for farmers to encourage them the production of flowers.

Abstract:

The importance of aligning an organisation’s Reward Management system with the overall business strategy cannot be overemphasized. Tshukudu (2022) in his latest article acknowledges that the Reward system is a vital tool for driving business growth and boosting staff morale. The increasingly volatile business environment have seen most Company executives constantly demanding evidence that reward systems produce changes in performance.  Therefore, this research paper sought to examine the relationship between reward systems and performance using Mutare City Council as a case under study.  The study focused on administrative and low-level employees. The sample size chosen was (20). A simple random sampling technique was used to draw participants from different departments.  The research utilised the pragmatic approach where both the quantitative and qualitative research methods were used to obtain an in-depth understanding of the problem under study. The data was presented and analysed using tables and graphs as well as the thematic approach for qualitative findings. The study findings revealed that there is a positive relationship between Reward systems and performance in local authorities. It further revealed that a well-managed reward system is advantageous because it improves employee engagement, employee participation, and overall improved performance.  The paper recommends that Local Authorities must use Total Reward management systems that take into account both monetary and non-monetary benefits when rewarding employees.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the absorption and utilization of information technology on the teaching and learning process. The data used in this study are primary data obtained from distributing 91 questionnaires and returning 74 elementary school students. The data analysis method uses the Package for the Social Sciences Statistical analysis using IBM SPSS version 16 software. The results show that absorption does not have a significant effect on the teaching and learning process and the use of information technology has a significant effect on the teaching and learning process. This concludes that the use of information technology is carried out to support teachers and students in increasing efficiency and effectiveness in learning and has a positive impact. Absorption and Utilization of Information Technology collectively have a significant effect on the teaching and learning process.

Abstract:

This study aims to prove the role of self-control as a moderator, on the influence of economic literacy and financial management on financial planning. Economic literacy and financial management are tested for their direct impact on financial planning. While self-control is used to test the impact of moderating, strengthening, or weakening interactions. The research was conducted on students in Jakarta with a sample of 175 respondents. Data collection using google forms. Data processing includes validity tests and data reliability tests, as well as regression tests with moderating interaction models. This study proves that economic literacy and financial management are factors that have a significant influence on financial planning directly. The impact given is positive or unidirectional. Self-control is able to strengthen the influence of economic literacy on financial planning. The results of this study recommend that if you want to make good financial planning, then economic literacy and financial management are very important factors and support good financial planning. Likewise with self-control, being able to strengthen the impact of economic literacy and financial management on financial planning.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the teaching campus education program during the transition period of the Covid-19 pandemic, namely from an online learning process to an offline learning process. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive type. Grade 1-6 students from Public Elementary School 02 Cawet were used as test subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The learning process that switches from online to offline learning requires preparation and adaptation by schools, teachers, parents, and students. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of offline learning is quite good, but to reduce student interaction, learning is carried out according to health protocols. The process, implementation, and effectiveness of online learning still need to be improved in order to achieve the educational goals of students effectively in terms of teaching, application of technology adaptation, and school administration.

Abstract:

The paper in the Review of Collective Bargaining processes in Nigerian Educational System: A Study of the Federal Government of Nigeria and Academic Staff Union of Universities Experience, took time to look into the cause of why the parties involved find it difficult to embrace agreement. The paper devoted time to explaining the concepts of the major term as it is used in the context of the paper such as various definitions of collective bargaining, collective bargaining processes such as the Union claim, Management proposal, Negotiators, the 3rd parties, and collective agreement. Also discussed in the paper are the machinery for collective bargaining, preparation for the demand, presentation for the demand, and preparation for negotiation. Methods of handling issue by issue, package approach style, and rap up approach were all explained. The question remained that after all these processes were followed in the process of trying to resolve the issue at stake, why is there been no agreement till now? The paper explains as follows that when all efforts towards resolving the misunderstanding between the Union representative and the Government fails to achieve its goal and objective, the results can have a dramatically negative impact on the institutional employees a case of (Federal Universities Lectures in Nigeria) over the long term. Although, the inability to negotiate can give the rivals the opening they need to gain a competitive edge over the institution (CONUAS). Therefore, the paper highlighted the following as factors that are responsible for the inability of both parties to embrace agreement i) lack of adequate preparation on the part of the Government, ii) Ego on both parties, iii) Fear on the part of the Government, iv) inflexibility or Rigidity and getting emotional on the part of ASUU and v) Lack of integrity on the part of the Federal Government of Nigeria. Conclusively, the paper recommended that the Federal Government of Nigeria should for once be responsible to meet the agreement entered into with the Academic Staff Union of University ASUU and that ASUU should learn not to use the strike as what they considered the best option to press in their demand before the government and also, not to be emotional whenever there is a crisis in the educational system in Nigeria.

Abstract:

Korean Wave or Hallyu is currently very popular in Indonesia. The popularity of the Korean Wave is one of the causes of Korean food becoming popular in Indonesia and it is easy to find Korean instant food, both those that are directly imported from Korea and those that have been produced by Indonesian manufacturers. K-drama and K-pop are Hallyu products that play a major role in popularizing Korean food in Indonesia. The occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic caused changes in culture, and lifestyle and made Hallyu increasingly popular in Indonesia. This study aims to 1) display several brands of South Korean instant products produced by local Indonesians, and 2) reveal the Role of Korean Culture in Product Promotion. This research used a qualitative method and data collection was conducted by interviewing Indonesian producers who produce Korean instant food to find out the reasons that make Indonesian producers interested in producing Korean instant food and what role Korean culture plays in the promotion of Korean instant food products. There are differences between Korean and Indonesian food cultures, and of course, cultural adjustments are needed, such as the use of raw materials to taste adjustments. The popularity of the Korean Wave has become the basis for Indonesian manufacturers to produce Korean instant food because of business opportunities.

Abstract:

Marketing a beauty product is one of the supports in increasing sales. However, the expertise of marketers is not only required to be able to negotiate with customers but must also be able to use language in product advertising and use various elements that support creativity so that the advertisement being promoted can attract customers and is called popular culture. Currently, the popular culture that is well-known in Indonesia and very popular with teenagers lately is K-Pop culture from South Korea. The increasing popularity of K-pop has made various beauty companies make these K-Pop artists icons in marketing their products. One of the companies that collaborate with Korean actors is PT. Beringin Abadi’s motto, which produces skincare products under the Scarlet Whitening brand, collaborates with Song Joong Ki as the brand ambassador in marketing their products.
 
This study aims to find the influence of brand ambassador Song Joong Ki Scarlet Whitening products on buying interest in students of the Faculty of Korean Language and Literature and to analyze the influence of brand ambassador Song Joong Ki on Scarlet Whitening products on buying interest in students of the Faculty of Korean Language and Literature at the National University class of 2018. This study used a quantitative research method. The sample in this study was students of Korean Language and Literature at the National University class of 2018 with a total sample of 114 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study is a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and simple linear regression analysis. In this study, it was found that the variable Song Joong Ki as a brand ambassador has a significant effect on the variable interest in buying Scarlett Whitening products the brand ambassador Song Joong Ki contributed 72.4% in an effort to influence buying interest for Scarlett Whitening products, while the remaining 27.6% was influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
