Background: Bagra Village is situated under West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh, India. This village has been emerged as one of the largest Pineapple production in the state, which contributing nearly 9,000 metric tons annually. Even after so much of Pineapple production, the farmers were not able to sale their produces due to various constraints like proper market facilities, lack of marketing awareness, communications and connectivity problems etc.
Methods: The study adopts a descriptive and analytical research design to examine the socio-economic impact of the Arunachal Pineapple Festival (APF) on the local community. Conducted in Bagra Circle, Arunachal Pradesh, the location was purposively chosen for its prominence in pineapple cultivation and close association with the festival. A total of 60 respondents were selected through purposive sampling, representing farmers and community members involved directly in the festival
Results: The results revealed that the Arunachal Pineapple Festival (APF) has been contributed socio-economic development of pineapple farmers of Bagra Circle, West Siang District, Arunachal Pradesh. The introduction of APF in Bagra village has mostly benefited to the farmers, as the festival has enhanced income generation, created seasonal employment, promoted business opportunities, encouraged investment in farming, improved infrastructure, strengthened government support, and fostered community unity
