Abstract:

Research on sustainable banking in the digital age has gained increasing attention due to the intersection of FinTech, blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and environmental responsibility. This bibliometric study examines global research trends from 2015 to 2025(February) using Dimensions AI, yielding 1,052 publications after screening. VOS Viewer was employed to visualize co-authorship networks, citation patterns, and keyword co-occurrences. Sustainability emerged as the most prolific journal, while Environmental Science and Pollution Research demonstrated the highest citation impact. Influential authors include Satish Kumar and Muhammad Zoynul Abedin. At the country level, China leads in publication volume, while Ireland, Malaysia, and India show high average citations per paper. Keyword and thematic analyses reveal emerging trends in digital financial inclusion, blockchain-based transparency, AI-driven ESG analytics, green finance, and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). The study highlights the growing integration of technology and sustainability in banking and provides a roadmap for future research, emphasizing the need for cross-disciplinary collaboration, regulatory frameworks, and empirical evaluation of sustainable digital banking innovations
