Abstract: Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are one of the critical components of national economic
growth and development in both developed and developing economies. However, the performance
of SMEs in developing countries is lower than expected; therefore, it is crucial to understand the
factors that improve performance. This study aims to develop a conceptual model to explain the
relationship between the organizational performance of SMEs, human capital, social media
technology use in Saudi Arabia. The author proposes a model in which human capital and social
media technology use may positively influence organization performance in SMEs in Saudi Arabia
