School closure, reliance on e-learning and inaccessibility to mitigation strategies are some of the changes and disruptions which the COVID-19 pandemic has brought in the educational sector. This study examines the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on sustainability of Nigerian tertiary institutions, with particular reference to University of Jos. Three research questions were set to guide the study. Cross sectional survey was employed for the study. Data was generated from both primary and secondary sources through the use of Tertiary Institutions Sustainability Checklist (TISC). The population used for the study involved the administrative staff of the University. A sample of 30 (thirty) participants were used for the study. All the sampled staff were given the TISC to fill. Random sampling technique was used for the study. Simple Percentage was used to analyze the research questions. It was found that many tertiary institutions do not have well equipped library for their students and they have poor or non existing internet connectivity, poor ICT laboratory amongst a host of other issues. The study recommends that tertiary institutions should adopt policies the use of modern resources such as the e-library, computers for Skype and zoom to rebuild the losses in the learning process of their students, once they reopen.
Pirdam Binwai , Ibrahim Abubakar Abubakar Copyright (c) 2021 International Journal of Research In Commerce and Management Studies ( ISSN : 2582-2292) Thu, 04 Feb 2021 00:00:00 +0000 OAUTH 2.0 IN SECURING APIS
Today’s API are used for a variety of things such as passing data to another webservice, reading data from a database etc. The problem with this is that not all the API`s are secure. Most of the todays API are old and rely only on an authentication token or string which is often hardcoded. We will focus on OAUTH 2.0 as a new protocol in securing our API`s. This is a new protocol based on delegation of authorization, dynamically changing authentication string based on user session or application session. We will go on this different modes of authentication and show you how to use them properly. We will set up this with a Web Api integrated with OAUTH and a client application that will stimulate the requests to our API.
Enkli Ylli, Igli Tafa, Ergis Gjergji Copyright (c) 2021 Mon, 08 Feb 2021 00:00:00 +0000 EXPLOITING VOIP SECURITY ISSUES IN A CLASSIC SCENARIO
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) has become mainstream in terms of the usability due to two key factors: flexibility and low cost, all of this towards classic PSTN (Public as well Service Telephone Network) based on several studies and the practical approach because your calls are no longer routed along a dedicated wire to a local exchange, but instead provider implements packet switching and the direct line needed is now performed by the VoIP provider. However, there are several concerns over security, [13] which is quite understandable. The rising issues have naturally come over the efficiency communication VoIP offers and with this being a main key, that’s where companies and businesses have invested, leaving things in the open over security. This study tries to exploit the vulnerabilities VoIP shows in its classic scenario and give a few suggestions on what to do regarding the problems raised during the way. All the work was based on previous knowledge regarding VoIP as studied in Computer Networks.
Enkli Ylli, Igli Tafa, Fabjola Cejku Copyright (c) 2021 Fri, 26 Feb 2021 00:00:00 +0000 GUIDELINES FOR MEASURING THE SUCCESS OF TRAFFIC SAFETY ACTION PLAN
The purpose of this research is to develop guidelines for measuring the success of safety action plans, especially for Traffic and Road Transportation. This study has always been quite interesting from the economic and human points of view. Several problems related to safety, especially traffic, are the number of casualties, involving pedestrians, motorbikers, buses and trucks. The National Police of the Republic of Indonesia informed that during 2019, the number of traffic accidents that occurred in 2019 increased compared to 2018. The number of traffic accidents increased by three percent, but the number of victims who died decreased by six percent compared to 2018. Traffic management is needed to improve the current traffic conditions, so a guideline for measuring the success of the traffic safety action plan is needed. The research method uses qualitative descriptions emphasizing the existing secondary data directly from related agencies. From the findings, the formulation of road and transportation safety actions can be made as a result of data collection sourced from the Ministry of Transportation, Polda Metro Jaya and the Transportation Agency of DKI Jakarta Province. It is concluded that several annual inter-agency program activities are expected to continue, such as the Abdi Yasa Teladan Competition.
Prasadja Ricardianto, Noor Syamsu Hidayat, Payaman Manik, Prima Widiyanto, Primadi Candra Susanto Copyright (c) 2021 Fri, 26 Feb 2021 00:00:00 +0000
